GRAMICID
A Component of Pharmaceutical Purified Water system for manufacturing of Drug substance and drug products.
What is Gramicid?
GRAMICID is a multi-component complex formulation of concentrated Hydrogen Peroxide (48 %) and Silver (500 ppm) in cationic form.

What is Gramicid Dosing in water purification process?
GRAMICID dosing is required in the water purification process to perform disinfection process of raw water /potable water.
This is effective on Viruses, Spores, Bacteria, E-coli, Mould, Pseudomonas, Fungi, Yeast, and Protozoa & Biofilms. Hence, it is required to remove the presence of Microbiological, Organic and inorganic impurities.
Why gramicid dosing is required for water purification process?
In order to start the purification process of the water this is one of the important of the process, where in gramicid is being used as disinfectant.
This is a powerful agent, effective against bacteria, virus, fungi, algae and spores. What is more important is that GRAMICID is equally effective against bacterial species, which are normally resistant to other biocides.
Finally we can say that Purpose of gramicid dosing is to reduce the bacteria, microorganism affecting the performance of PW generation, chlorinated water helps MGF less prone for microbial growth.
